What made you pick this particular course?
These courses were the most appealing to me and Petroc was able to accept me after applying so late.

What have been the highlights so far?
The new art course mock exam has given me a lot of freedom to try out different art forms.

What do you most enjoy about studying at Petroc?
There’s a lot more independence, especially in comparison to a sixth form. I’ve been given the freedom to study only the things I’m interested in by teachers who are clearly interested in the subjects.

What’s the long-term plan ?
I plan to do some further studying. I’m not happy with any one career path so I plan to take multiple paths to see what I like.

Any advice for someone thinking of choosing the same course as you?
You need to be really self motivated, create your own organisation system that works for you, for example keeping track of how many weeks are in a project. Also, make sure the texts you’ll be studying are ones that are appealing to you.
