What made you pick this particular course?
I didn’t know what I wanted to do so I was jumping in head first and taking a risk when choosing this course. Within the first two weeks I absolutely fell in love with the subject and knew it was a path I wanted to take.

What do you most enjoy about studying at Petroc?
I really enjoy the lessons as they are very engaging and everyone can share their own thoughts and opinions. Learning about the way different bodies and brains work is so interesting!

Have you got involved in any enrichment activities?
I used to go to Film Club, it was so much fun. Having an entire lecture theatre full of students all singing along to their favourite films such as Hairspray and Highschool Musical.

Did you undertake any work experience throughout your studies?
Yes, I have done and continue to do work experience at Barnhavern Care Home. I thoroughly enjoy spending my time there and I was even offered a part time job there for the day I’m not doing my work experience!

What do you plan to do when you leave Petroc?
I hope to go to university and continue healthcare as I am studying to become a paediatric nurse.

Any advice for someone thinking of choosing the same course as you?
Do what your heart feels is right. Don’t set unrealistic expectations for yourself and do what is best for you.
