16-18 enrolment day
We will be holding Enrolment Days on 29, 30 and 31 August which you will have received an invitation to.
Below are some FAQs to help you make the most of your day.
Q: What do I bring to enrolment?  Â
A: Please bring with you:
- Any exam results or certificates you have already received if you haven’t already uploaded them to myPetroc. It is particularly important that you bring proof of your Maths and English results with you.
- If a DBS is required for your course, please bring ID documents if you have not already provided these.
- If applying for a bursary and haven’t already provided evidence, please bring evidence of your household income.
- Any relevant evidence to support exam access arrangements.
Please note: Not all of these will apply to you – you can check outstanding checklist items on myPetroc to see which apply.
Q: What happens if I do not get the grades I was predicted, or if I want to change course?
A: Please still attend the enrolment session. If you have not met your entry requirements (or if you have exceeded them) we will discuss your options when you come in for enrolment.
Q: Who will I meet at enrolment?  Â
A: There will be various support teams here to help you including our Admissions & Enrolments Team, our Faculty Admin Team, and our Advice & Guidance Team. They will all support you to complete your final steps to becoming a student. Our Curriculum Team will also be available if you have any concerns about your chosen course. You will meet your tutors and fellow students during your Welcome Day in September.
Â
Q: When do I start the course?
A: The College term starts on Friday 8 September. Please check for your timetable on myPetroc from midday on 1 September. Please note that timetables are subject to change.
Q: How long will the enrolment session take?  Â
A: Please allow between 30 minutes and 2 hours to complete your enrolment. All enrolment sessions will vary depending on the number of outstanding checklist items you have, if you need curriculum advice, or if you have decided to change your course.
Q: Can I bring someone with me?
A: Yes, you are welcome to bring someone with you to your enrolment session if you require any support.
Where possible, we request each applicant is accompanied by only one other person to help keep numbers manageable during our busiest time of year.
Q: What if I need extra support?
A: If you feel that you require extra support, please let a member of our team know on arrival and we can ensure you are given all the support you need to complete your enrolment.
Q: Do I have to study English and Maths alongside my course?
A: You will continue to study English and Maths until you achieve a Grade 4/5 or the end of the academic year you turned 19, whichever is sooner.
Â
Q: What happens if I am unable to attend my enrolment session?  Â
A: Enrolments sessions are taking place from 9:30am-4:00pm on Wednesday 30 & Thursday 31 August at North Devon campus and from 9:30am-4:00pm on Tuesday 29 August at Tiverton campus. If you are unable to attend the time slot you have been given, please feel free to drop in at any point during the times above.
Q: I can’t login to myPetroc
A: A member of our team will be on hand to help you log in during the session to enable you to complete your outstanding checklist items.
Q: Can someone else attend for me?Â
A: No, we require you to attend your enrolment session in person. No one else can enrol on your behalf, as we require you to sign your enrolment if you haven’t already done so.
