NCS

Designed especially for 16 and 17 year olds, the NCS experience will give you a clearer idea of what you want from your future. We’ll help you realise that big, exciting things can come from feeling a little bit overwhelmed.

...No, seriously, it’s all good. Remember, No. We. Can. Show yourself exactly what you’re made of!

On NCS, you’ll mix with a new crowd, and take on fresh challenges together. Before you know it, you’ll be rooting for each other, as you all tackle your own little hurdles. Along the way, you’ll also get a taste for independence and pick up skills that’ll help you smash your future goals. And if that’s not enough for you, you’ll also be given a platform to have your voice heard and pursue a passion project. The NCS experience might last just a few weeks, but the impact? That lasts a LOT longer. Over 500,000 people have already done NCS – want to join them? Visit www.wearencs.co.uk for FAQ’s and to find out more.

YOUR SUMMER 2020:

Be epic

In your first week, you’ll live away from home and nurture your adventurous side. Whether you take on the high ropes, wild waves, or scale a wall, one thing we can guarantee is, by Friday night you’ll feel fearless (and pretty worn out)! Don’t worry, you’ll have the weekend back home to catch your breath.

Live life

Next up? Enjoy another five days away from home with your new-found mates. Get a crash course in Adulting and pick up skills to set you up for life. By the time you’re done, you’ll be speaking to a room full of people without freezing up and know a whole load more about what you want from life after school.

Do good

Fuelled by your first two weeks, you’ll have the opportunity to use your voice and have a lasting impact. Want to see a change in your community? Countrywide? Or even globally? This is your chance to deliver an impressive ‘passion project’ – we can’t wait to see what you and your teammates achieve.

Go party

Ok, so this is a VIPOYE (Very Important Part Of Your Experience), naturally. By this point, you’ll have achieved A LOT. Now it’s time to be recognised. You’ve got to go out with a bang, right?

“...Is there an after party?”, we hear you scream. Yeah, kinda!

Do more

So enjoyed your summer? Don’t want to let go? That’s okay, just get in contact with the Team, we run a Local Youth Board. Where you carry on pushing those passions!

When do we go?

NCS during the summer, but don’t worry, it won’t take up all of your time off!
This year Petroc will be offering 4 week and 3 week programmes:
   - 29/06/2020 (4 weeks)
   - 13/07/2020 (3 weeks)
   - 27/07/2020 (4 weeks)

Not only do we have the summer, but we will also be hosting BUILD UP events throughout the year; get a taste for the summer and meet likeminded people.

How much will it cost?

‘Technically’ a place on NCS costs £1,500 but because we’re government funded, the most we’ll ask you to contribute is £50. And at certain times of the year it could cost even less! We also have a bursary scheme available that’s 100% confidential. If you’re not sure you can afford it, just get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.

Want to work for us?

We are currently on the hunt for more NCS Team Leaders to join us on this epic summer. If you fancy having summer of a lifetime, whilst also ending up with some money in your pocket, we’d love to hear from you. Team Leaders must be 18+, enthusiastic and willing to give everything a go.
For more information please get in touch using the information above or have a look at the NCS website.
