Cmi Diploma In Principles Of Management & Leadership Level 3 – Y1

This Level 3 qualification is aimed at practising or aspiring managers. It is a flexible part-time, certificated course delivered in partnership with Mindful Education and combines online self-directed learning with face-to-face lessons.

During the course, you will develop your core management skills such as setting and monitoring goals and objectives by providing instruction, direction and guidance.

You will cover the following topics:
– Organisational Awareness for First Line Managers
– Approaches to Managing and Leading People and Teams
– Stakeholder Communication for First Line Managers
– Delivering Organisational Activities
– Professional Development as a First Line Manager
– Supporting People Throughout the Employee Life Cycle

STUDY METHOD – Online and On Campus

We have partnered with Mindful Education to deliver this course through our flexible Online and On Campus model.

Online, you will study award-winning video lessons, which are available on demand, and can be viewed from your phone, tablet or computer – meaning you can choose how, when and where you want to study. Lessons last for around 45-60 minutes and are accompanied by motion graphics to bring concepts to life. Practice questions, downloadable lesson materials and interactive case studies help to enhance the learning experience further and learners should expect to spend around 3-4 hours studying independently online each week.

During your studies you will be an Associate member of the Chartered Management Institute, which gives you access to a huge platform of resources to further enhance and enrich your development into the world of Management. The CMi are the UK’s only chartered professional body dedicated to management and leadership, recognised as a “gold standard” institution. On completion of your qualification you have the opportunity to register and remain a member which signifies elite professional standing for you and your organisation.

On campus, you benefit from regular classes with a college tutor (usually Wednesday once a term), without having to commit to attending multiple evenings each week. Your tutor will review what you have learnt during your online lessons and will be on hand to provide guidance on progress and assessment. Regular discussion with classmates will help to reinforce key points while also providing the additional support and motivation that comes from being part of a group.
