This qualification is designed for individuals who are just starting out in the beauty industry and want to gain an understanding of the field to succeed in a job or pursue further study.
This qualification provides valuable accreditation of skills such as:
– Introduction to the beauty sector
– Presenting a professional image in a salon
– Practical elements such as skin care, hand care, manicures, pedicures, makeup and nail art

Assessments
The course is assessed with a combination of practical demonstration assignment, and /or multiple choice test for some qualifications.
Entry Requirements
You will be required to attend an interview.
Progression
Upon successful completion of this course, you can progress onto the Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy.
Facilities and resources
You will train in our state-of-the-art Lifestyle Centre which is home to our fully-equipped hair and beauty salons.

Will I wear a uniform?
Yes a full uniform is required for all practical classes.
Is there a lot of theory?
Yes although this is a practical industry it is very important to know the theory behind the practical and to understand how the body works .
Who will I practise on?
You will work on each other to gain your confidence with your skills and then work on clients for your assessments .
