Diploma in Women’s Hairdressing
This qualification will build on all you have learnt at Level 2 to help you on your journey to becoming a successful professional hair stylist. This course will appeal to both newly qualified and experienced hairdressers as it offers a career extension and development that spans skills, knowledge, experience and confidence.
Units covered in this programme include:
– Advanced cutting
– Advanced colouring and colour correction
– Styling and dressing
– Competition work
You will also undertake skills workshops, commercial salon work and study support classes to develop your knowledge and understanding of the topics.
What’s more, you will have an exciting opportunity during the study programme to attend various trade exhibitions and in-house manufacturers’ product awareness workshops, to give you real insight and help to prepare you for work.

Assessments
You will be required to complete a portfolio of evidence made up of written assignments and examinations as well as practical assessments. All of this will help you advance your learning or reinforce skills you have already gained within the industry.
Entry Requirements
You must hold the full NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing or another equivalent qualification/industry experience.
Progression
You will be able to use this qualification to help you gain employment, or further your career.
