Electrical Installation

This one-year Diploma in Electrical Installation course is suitable for anyone who wants to work as an electrician in the building services industry.

It has been designed to deliver the skills needed to progress onto an apprenticeship or into employment, and to becoming a competent electrician.

The qualification will help you gain an understanding of the skills required within the electrotechnical sector and you will cover topics including:
– Scientific principles
– Installation of wiring systems and enclosures
– Electrical installations technology

Assessments

Assessment will be through a variety of methods which could include practical activities, written activities or externally assessed content.

Entry Requirements

All entrants must hold four GCSEs at grade 3 or equivalent (or above), including GCSE Maths and English. If you do not have a GCSE grade 4 in Maths and/or English you will continue studying these subjects alongside your chosen course(s). At the end of the year, you are expected to have completed and achieved all the components of your Level 2 Study Programme and improved your Maths and English skills before progressing to your next level course.

All entrants must hold four GCSEs at grade 3 or equivalent (or above), including GCSE Maths and English at grade 4.

Progression

This course is aimed at anyone interested in going on to study a Level 3 construction course or an Electrical Apprenticeship.

Practical sessions will be taught in our fully-equipped workshops.
