Learn how businesses grow, manage money, wow customers, market products, and lead successful teams – even how to run a project like a pro.

What you’ll study:
Unit 1: Enterprise in the Business World (core)
Unit 2: Finance for Business (core)
Unit 4: Principles of Customer Service
Unit 9: Principles of Marketing (core)
Unit 10: Using Business Documentation
Unit 11: Building Successful Business Teams
Unit 19: Introducing Project Management**

** Unit 19 is a double points unit.

Students are required to complete 70 hours I think for the forthcoming academic year.

Assessments

Assessment for this programme is achieved in two ways. All of the above units are assessed through coursework and the completion of assignments, with the exception of Unit 2 – Finance for Business and Unit 9 – Principles of Marketing which are assessed in form of an external examination.



With all units, students are given 2 opportunities to obtain a Pass, Merit or Distinction grade, whether it’s assessed via coursework or exam.

Progression

You can progress naturally onto our Level 3 Business qualifications, including the T Level in Business and Administration or other Level 3 programmes. As a nationally recognised qualification, it also opens the door to trainee-level employment.

Every full-time student at Petroc will have their own Study Programme which will include:

– Your academic or vocational qualification.

– Maths and English Language development – if you have not achieved GCSE grade 4 in either of these subjects.

– Work Experience – hours will vary depending on your qualification and course level.

– Tutor Support – to support your personal, academic and professional development.

– Sustainability – helping you to identify how you can improve the sustainability of your future employment sectors.

– Personal Development Awards – developing six key areas of personal and employability behaviours to prepare you for the working world.
