What made you pick this particular course?
I chose my course because I believe it would benefit me for what I wanted to do in the future.
What have been the highlights so far?
In my first year we did a networking event which we had to organise and be a part of which was called “The Breakfast Event”. This included us having to create our own business ideas and a few weeks later we had to pitch these to a panel of “dragons” like on Dragons Den. We voted on who was the best and me and my friend who did a joint business were in the top five for our business idea.
What do you most enjoy about studying at Petroc?
I enjoy the flexibility of being able to work from home and in college as sometimes I find it easier working from home than in college.
Did you undertake any work experience throughout your studies?
I took part in work experience and did a total of 60 hours in which I learnt new skills such as how to make a website, making a link tree for social media pages and more. I did my work experience for an independent small business that sold vegetables and it was an enjoyable experience to be able to help a small business.
