Diploma In Peforming And Production Arts Level 2

If you love acting, singing, dance, stagecraft or creative production, this hands-on Level 2 Performing & Production Arts course is the perfect next step. Designed as a practical and supportive pathway into the industry, this programme introduces you to the core skills needed to create exciting live performance.
You will take part in workshops, rehearsals, and collaborative performance projects as you explore both on-stage and backstage roles. You will learn how to communicate ideas to an audience, develop performance techniques, research creative material, and understand how productions are staged from start to finish.

What you will study
Your training covers a wide range of performing and production disciplines, including:
– Acting techniques, voice work and movement
– Rehearsal processes and ensemble work
– Lighting, sound, costume, props and marketing
– Creative research and planning
– Producing and performing to a live audience

The course has been created to provide a broad experience where you can discover what you enjoy, develop confidence, and build the transferable skills needed for progression in the arts. Units are designed to help you explore both performance and production, and you will work on real staging projects throughout the year, culminating in a final assessed performance.

How you will learn
You will train in professional studio spaces with access to specialist performing arts facilities and technical equipment. You’ll learn through practical workshops, group rehearsals, individual tasks, research, and collaborative productions; developing creativity, communication, teamwork and independence along the way. There are no written exams: you will be assessed through your practical work, rehearsals, portfolio development and final performance.
