Our sports academies aim to offer student athletes a balance of academic study and sport whilst at college. Each academy offers 3-5 hours of weekly sports coaching, team analysis, termly nutrition/lifestyle/sports psychology workshops and six hours of weekly open access strength and conditioning.
The academies have been helping young people fulfil their sporting potential since its inception in 2003. The college has had great success over the years, representing the South West, winning the Association of Colleges (AoC) National Championships, nominating players for South West, regional and English trials and annually competing at the AoC National Championships in various sports.
If you can’t see your favourite sport listed above, don’t worry! We also compete in plenty of individualised sports events. At AoC level we offer opportunities to compete at tennis, swimming, cross country, badminton and table tennis, amongst others.
We also support students who compete at high level in sports such as surf life saving, shooting and power lifting. Whatever your chosen sport we will do our best to support you.
