Education & Childcare (Early Years) T Level

T Levels combine classroom theory, practical learning and a minimum 315-hour industry placement with an employer to make sure you have real experience of the workplace. The Technical Qualification (TQ) is the main classroom-based element of the T Level and will see you learn from a curriculum that has been shaped by industry experts. T Level courses have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses so that the content will meet the needs of industry and prepare you for work. They provide the knowledge and experience needed to open the door to highly skilled employment, an apprenticeship or higher-level study, including university.

This T Level focuses on children under the age of five, and combines the following core units with practical application while working in a setting in the community:
– Child development
– Safeguarding
– Observation and assessment
– Parents, families and carers

As well as the core units, you will complete an employer-set project to complement the theory and practical aspects of the qualification.

You will study the knowledge and skills of an Early Years Educator as your occupational specialism.

NCFE are a leading sector specialist in early years and this course will ensure you can develop into a high-quality, skilled practitioner that the early years sector demands.

An essential component of this qualification is the substantial work placement in a relevant setting. As an Early Years Educator you must complete at least 750 hours of placement over the two years. This is completed in conjunction with your theory assessments and will ensure that at the end of the course you will have the skills needed by employers in this sector.

If you want a career supporting the play and development of children or babies, whether as a teacher, in a nursery, in the public or private sector, this course could be for you.
