Introduction to Renewables – Skills Bootcamp
Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with an employer.
The Introduction to Renewables course is designed as a L4 beginner-level Skills Bootcamp that provides a comprehensive overview of renewable energy technologies, their applications, and their role in addressing global energy challenges. Students will explore various renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydropower, biomass, geothermal, and ocean energy, while examining the economic, policy, and environmental considerations that drive the transition to a sustainable energy future.
This course is structured to include online tutor-led sessions, practical workshops, and weekly tutorials to ensure holistic academic development. The mix of theoretical lessons and hands-on activities provides a well-rounded understanding of the subject, making it accessible to beginners with no prior knowledge of renewable energy.
This course starts on Monday 6th January, 2025 and runs through to 31st March, 2025. The time of the course is 12- 5pm and is a mix of on line and in person practical sessions.
