Both of these have core units eg. Observation and Assessment, Supporting Education, Special Educational Needs and Disability. On this course you will complete a number of core theory units as well as substantial work placement. NCFE are leading sector specialist in early years and this course ensures learners can develop into high quality, skilled practitioners that the early years sector demands. The aim is to develop the threshold competence of learners in key aspects of early years practice.

The assessments vary and you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your practical competencies through observations, as well a written exam and written assessments for various units. Your employer set project will also form part of your formal assessment. The assessments are marked externally and internally. The assessment criteria for this course is rigorous and really will ensure you have the skills to take the next steps in to employment or higher level study.
